For his 2025 film “Engineering Earth”, filmmaker John Boswell - also known as Melodysheep - asked me for a contribution of visuals depicting a space elevator from Earth.
Being a long time admirer of John’s work, I was happy to do what I could to contribute and we agreed on a couple of shots mostly focused around a terminus station of the elevator and a few more following a climber on its way up.
As there was little time for me to spend on the project, we decided to reuse the exterior of my Esperanta orbiter model (from my short film “One Revolution Per Minute”) and rebuild it slightly to serve as the terminus station.
The visuals I made are of course best experienced in the context of the film, which can be seen on Youtube in its entirety here, but for viewing convenience I have collected them in a video reel and a still image gallery, both of which you can see here below.
